My very first attempt at pixel art! First thoughts? IT IS SO MUCH HARDER THAN IT LOOKS! It can be intimidating at first because you dont have much space to work with and usually the art looks like crap at the beginning and until you zoom out. I am fairly happy with my result though and want to try some more!

Based on a tutorial from tutorial9. Took me about 59 seconds ahahahaha. Neat effect though. Saved it in my layer styles for future use.

Based on a tutorial from Tutorial9. Time consuming for what it is, but overall I am happy with the outcome. The tutorial did some things that I would not have done (slow down workflow yuck!) but thats ok.

Based on a tutorial from VectorTUTS. I used Illustrator and a bit of Photoshop to create a grungy, hand-drawn effect.

This is a 100% scalable vector drawing based on a tutorial from VectorTUTS. The result came out ok, although my grass looks a little on the wilted side :P

Based on a tutorial from tutzor. I chose not to use the star wars font... so mine isn't quite as "star wars-y" but the idea is the same.

Based on a tutorial from tutorial9.net. Like the outcome and it was quite easy to make. I dont know if I'll EVER use this again, but it was fun nonetheless!

Based on a tutorial from Spoon Graphics. I missed a couple steps but that's ok... makes life more interesting. Didn't really learn much on this tutorial, but I suppose it's something "new".

Inspirational Vector based on a tutorial from VectorTUTS. I definitely missed some steps... I kind of got to a point and decided to take my own route... which I think is ultimately a good thing to do when trying tutorials!

Vintage poster based on a tutorial from PSDtuts. This tutorial was mostly about improving your photoshop workflow. I found most of that just review, but I did enjoy the final outcome so I decided to post it!

 Did a tutorial on creating electric lines. This one has a bit of a retro feel to it, but ultimately I am happy with how it turned out!

 Tutorial from PSDtuts! Neat glowing tutorial. Can see using this technique a lot in future projects.

 Based on a tutorial from VECTORTUTS. The final result is 100% scalable which is quite cool. Sometimes you can run into problems with glows and stuff being transparent/scalable. But it worked great on this piece.

 First attempt at trying something retro. Not quite what I had hoped, but you gotta start somewhere!

Glowing text tutorial from PSDTUTS. Kind of time consuming for what it is. Sure wouldn't want to do something like this if there was a lot of letters. That is the really time consuming part. Cool tutorial nonetheless.
