Drupal Camp Victoria
This last Friday and Saturday we hosted 'Drupal Camp Victoria' which drew in a fairly good crowd. On Friday I did presentations on introduction to Drupal and "Themer Meet Developer" which went really well, despite being on crutches and T3's!!! I am going to post my themer meet developer notes here. OH, and beerfest was pretty fun...
jQuery UI v1.5 Released
jQuery UI 1.5: Rethinking Our Approach to UI
When we first started with the UI project, we set out to build a generic, basic, and simple way of adding and extending core interaction to DOM elements. However, we soon found that our approach wasn’t working for UI. Using the “simple” approach, we were only able to serve simple interaction modules, but not full featured UI widgets. The second problem was that some plugins came from external sources making the UI suite seem disjointed and inconsistent.
DCV comes to an end
Well I survived Drupal Camp Vancouver-- It was pretty fun and I got a lot of ideas. The first day we had sessions down at SFU in downtown Vancouver. I got pretty lost on my way there but managed to make it there on time. I don't really have much to say... I especially enjoyed a session on Information Architecture from Gregory over at Civic Actions. Also Views Arguments was a good one... and I was really interested in the session about jquery.
Drupal Camp Vancouver
Tomorrow I depart for Vancouver for "Drupal Camp Vancouver". It is a two day conference and it should be really fun experience. There will be some well known companies there which I am really excited to hear... as well as some very knowledgeable speakers.
